Effectiveness in Evaluating Roadside Air Quality for Milan Government

The traffic emissions are generally monitored by the traditional fixed reference stations. However, those stations are not only expensive to operate, but also unable to monitor emission sources at a close range. This limited their effectiveness in studying local pollution problems. To better understand the traffic emissions in Milan, Italy, the city's environmental agency AMAT (Agenzia Mobilità Ambiente e Territorio) deployed three Sapiens MAS-AF300 in the city to evaluate the advanced air quality sensors compact station’s capability to detect exposure to vehicular traffic-related emission
